JUNIOR SEW-CIOLOGY 1: Ages 9-15 - Fall 2026
Taught by Beth Syrnyk
Do you have a budding designer in your family?
A young person who loves to sew, create, and express themselves through their own unique style?
Our Junior Sew-ciology #1 Class is the perfect place to start!
In this introductory sewing class. students will learn the ins and outs of the sewing machine, including how it works, how to thread it, load a bobbin, troubleshoot common problems, and explore a variety of stitches and how they can be used in their projects.
Along the way, students will be introduced to the basics of textiles, hand-sewing techniques, sewing-room safety, and "sew" much more—all while creating fun projects they can take home and be proud of!
Over the course of the class, students will make: a pin-cushion, a small tote bag & finish with an apron.
This is a wonderful opportunity for young creators to build confidence, develop practical sewing skills, and discover just how much fun it is to make something with their own hands.
