Drafting Circle Skirts
Taught by Beth Syrnyk
Learn how to draft your own quarter-, half-, and full-circle skirts with Beth!
This is a theory and drafting class only. We will not be constructing a skirt during this class. Instead, you’ll learn the techniques and calculations needed to draft your own circle skirt pattern, giving you the knowledge and confidence to create skirts in a variety of styles and sizes.
Beth will also teach you how to draft for different finishing options, including a traditional waistband or an elastic waist, as well as how to incorporate practical side-seam pockets.
What you’ll learn:
-
How to draft quarter-, half-, and full-circle skirts
-
Waistband and elastic-waist options
-
How to draft for side-seam pockets
-
The theory and calculations behind circle skirt drafting
Written instructions for sewing the skirt will be provided, giving you a useful reference when you’re ready to turn your drafted pattern into a finished garment.
