Taught by Tanja Cole

In this class, you’ll learn essential quilting fundamentals, including the tools you’ll need, how to select fabrics with confidence, and the basic principles that guide successful quilting. We’ll explore design, composition, and block layout, and you’ll learn how to modify a block pattern to reflect your own personal style and preferences.
Throughout the course, you’ll construct six popular, beginner-friendly quilt blocks: Log Cabin, Courthouse Steps, Rail Fence, Snowball, Card Trick, and the Eight Point Star. These classic designs will help you build foundational skills while introducing a variety of piecing techniques. Once completed, your blocks can be used individually or combined to create projects such as a wall hanging, pillow top, tote bag panel, table runner, or even incorporated into a larger quilt. The creative possibilities are truly endless.
Please note that this class focuses on block construction only. We will not be assembling or finishing a full quilt during the course.

All Materials are included in the cost of the class.
