Learn to Quilt: LEVEL 1 - Town Square - Evening Class *Fall/Winter

This easy, large block quilt creates a stunning project sure to impress your friends with your newly acquired skills!
Beginner quilters will learn basic quilting terms, colour theory, use of the rotary cutter, quilting ruler and mat as well as mastering proper seams and pressing techniques. This quilt is perfect for the beginner because it involves straight lines while practicing all the quilting techniques.
Participants will finish the top of a square throw sized quilt over this weekend series of classes. The final class will address how to “complete the quilt as desired” through demonstration and practice on small samples.
All supplies are included in the cost of the class. This is a great way for the beginner to try before investing a lot of money in basic tools they may decide not to use again.
Prerequisite skills: participants must have a good understanding of use of the sewing machine; threading, winding bobbins and maintaining straight seams.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This class is 5; 2.5 hour classes, for a total of 12.5 hours of learning.
Class size: LIMITED TO SIX STUDENTS. Learn in a cozy environment with plenty of time with your teacher!
