Take Care of Your Wardrobe—Beautifully!

Clothes get rips and tears, holes appear, and sometimes seams simply come apart. But you don’t have to say goodbye to your favourite clothes just yet!

Join Beth for this 2-hour class and learn practical hand-sewing techniques to repair and refresh your garments. You’ll explore a variety of mending techniques, including how to apply a patch, reverse appliqué, and visible mending stitches. We’ll also discuss the art of Sashiko and explore how this beautiful Japanese stitching tradition can be incorporated into your repairs.

Visible mending turns a repair into a creative design detail, adding a little art and personality to your everyday clothes.

Give your well-loved clothing a new lease on life. Repair, reuse and wear it again!

Important Information:

Everything needed to successfully complete the projects is provided, including sewing machines, sewing tools, fabrics, and notions. All you need to bring is your creativity and enthusiasm!

Indoor shoes/slippers: Please bring a pair of indoor shoes or slippers to wear in the classroom.

Food & drinks: No food or drinks are permitted in the classroom.

Water & washroom: A water cooler and washroom are available on site.
