Pants that truly fit are one of the biggest challenges for sewists — and often the most intimidating place to begin. You can pin and adjust those troublesome areas yourself, but just when one issue seems solved… another appears!

Join internationally known teacher, author, and designer Jan Bones for this two-session class and learn how to create a pant pattern customized to your body.

Lesson 1: April 17th
Students will learn how to:
* Take accurate body measurements
* Choose the correct pattern size
* Make essential pattern adjustments
* Cut and mark a fabric test garment (muslin) in preparation for sewing

Students will sew their test garment at home, including the fly-front zipper, ready to bring to the next class.

Lesson 2: May 1st
During the second session we will:
* Fit the test garments
* Identify and correct fitting issues
* Refine the adjustments
* Transfer all changes back to the paper pattern

By the end of the workshop you will have a personalized pant pattern you can confidently use again and again.

All fabrics and notions are included in the price of the class.

Learn in a relaxed environment where all things necessary to sew are in studio. The classroom is fully equipped with sewing machines and all the tools and notions you need to complete your project.
Small classes mean more time with your instructor.There is a watercooler and washroom for your convenience. No food or drinks are allowed in the classroom.
Please bring slippers or indoor shoes for the classroom.

Class Length: is 2x 3hrs =6hrs

Sewing lvl: Intermite (this class requires independent at home constuction) Previous zipper experience recommended *Call if you have any questions
